Planning for a year’s worth of vegetables may seem overwhelming. And, it most certainly can be. Today, I am sharing some of my favorite varieties that help us reach our goal of growing a year’s supply of our own organic, nutrient rich vegetables.

I love shopping local when I can, specifically our local MFA. If you live in the midwest, MFA is one of my favorite farm stores. They have a decent selection and their prices are more than fair.

But for varieties that are more uncommon, specialty varieties, certain hybrids, I source from a few other online stores.

Here is a list of both tried and true varieties, as well as a few new varieties we will be growing this growing season.

MFA:

  • Incredible Corn
  • Mammoth Gold Pumpkins
  • Kennebec Potatoes

Johnny’s Seed:

Renee’s Garden

Berlin Seed:

Sandia Seed:
